How To Make a Strawberry Colada Shake
Updated: Jul 17, 2020
Strawberry season is finally here! At Teaspoons & Co., we absolutely love adding strawberries to everything. Instead of using artificial strawberry syrup, why not make it yourself?

Strawberry Compote
This fresh strawberry sauce is a great substitute for your regular simple syrup. Why not add more depth and fruity flavors to your iced tea and milk shakes?!
Ingredients:
60 ML WHITE SUGAR
60 ML WATER
2 CUP OF FRESH OR FROZEN STRAWBERRIES
Blend all the ingredients together using the "pulse" mode. Do not over blend it! You still want smaller pieces of strawberries in your drink.
Pour it into a sauce pan and let is cook for 8 minutes on low-medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from burning.
Let it cool. *Unused strawberry compote can be stored in the fridge for 2 weeks.
